Advertising
Ads are labelled as ads and sold separately from editorial. Advertisers do not know what we are working on and cannot buy coverage, placement or a score.
Affiliate links
Some links to shops are affiliate links: if you buy through one, Playquire may earn a commission at no cost to you. Pages that contain them carry a note saying so. We link to where a game or a product can be bought because readers ask; what we cover, and what we say about it, is decided before any link exists and does not depend on it.
Review code, hardware and events
We accept review code and time-limited hardware loans, and we say so in the review. Hardware is returned or, where it cannot be, disclosed. Travel and accommodation for a press event are disclosed in any story that comes from it. We do not accept gifts of value, payment, or exclusive access in exchange for coverage.
Sponsored content
Sponsored content is written to a brief the sponsor sees, labelled as sponsored on the page, and kept out of review scores, the news feed and the games database. It is never presented as editorial.
Conflicts of interest
Nobody covers a game or a company they have worked for, invested in, or have close personal ties to. Past work for the companies we cover is disclosed on the writer’s profile page.
