Corrections

When Playquire gets something wrong, we fix it in the story, say what changed, and date the fix. This page is how to ask, and what to expect.

What counts as a correction

A correction fixes an error of fact: a wrong name, date, price, platform, quote or claim. An update adds something that happened after publication. A clarification rewords something that was accurate but easy to misread. All three are noted in the story; only typos and formatting fixes are not.

How to request one

Use the contact form and choose Correction as the subject. Say which story, what is wrong, and what the evidence is. Requests from the people or companies a story is about are read first, but anyone can ask.

How fast we act

We aim to review every request within two working days, and to act the same day on anything that could mislead readers, including changing or removing a headline while we check. If we do not agree that something is wrong, we say why.

How a correction is shown

A dated Correction notice appears at the top of the story and says what was wrong and what it now says. If the headline changed, the notice says so. If the error was in a review score or verdict, the notice explains the change and the re-review rules in the review policy apply. A story is taken down only when it cannot be fixed, and a note stays at its address.

Corrections are never silent

We do not quietly rewrite facts. The published date stays, the updated date changes, and the notice stays with the story.
